The audible version of this book is extremely well but painfully presented. World War I is described in such vivid non-glory in its pages that you are sucked into the story straight away and stay there for the next two hundred pages.

But it nmiic make me wonder what a pro-war book would be like. The main artistic criticism was that it was a mediocre attempt to cash in on public sentiment. It was the battleground of justice — the Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra of the Mahabharata war — where the good guys defeated the evil guys.
